Termite control for St. Pete homes
Pinellas County gets both kinds. Subterranean termites come up from the soil and into the framing. Drywood termites fly in and live inside the wood itself, often in attics, fascia and window frames. They need different treatments, so the first step is always finding out which one you have and how far it has gone.

Termite inspection
We check the foundation, crawl space, attic, garage and exterior wood, then walk you through what we found before anything is treated.
Subterranean treatment
Liquid soil barriers and bait stations around the home to stop termites coming up from the ground and to knock out the colony.
Drywood treatment
Spot and no-tent treatments for contained activity, and tent fumigation when drywood termites have spread through the structure.
WDO inspection reports
The wood-destroying organism report lenders and buyers ask for at closing, written up on the Florida state form.
Five signs you may have termites
Most homeowners spot one of these long before they see an actual termite. If any of them look familiar, it is worth having someone take a look.

Pest control for everything else
Florida bugs do not take a season off. Book a one-time treatment for a problem you have right now, or a recurring plan that keeps the house covered through the year.
General pest control
Ants, roaches, palmetto bugs, spiders and silverfish. Interior and exterior treatment with a barrier around the home.
Rodent control
Roof rats and mice in the attic or walls. Trapping, removal and sealing the entry points so they do not come back.
Mosquito control
Yard treatments through the wet season that target where mosquitoes rest and breed, so you can use the lanai again.
Bed bug treatment
Inspection to confirm what you have, then treatment of the bedrooms and furniture where they are hiding.
Fleas & ticks
Indoor and yard treatment for homes with pets, timed to break the flea life cycle instead of just the adults.
Wasps & stinging insects
Nest removal from eaves, soffits, sheds and pool cages, handled safely so nobody at home gets stung.

Termite and pest control questions
How do I know if I have subterranean or drywood termites?
Mud tubes on the foundation point to subterranean termites, which live in the soil. Small piles of hard, sand-like pellets point to drywood termites, which live in the wood. An inspection confirms which one it is, and that decides the treatment.
Does my house need to be tented?
Not always. Tenting is for drywood termites that have spread through the structure. Contained activity can often be handled with a spot treatment, and subterranean termites are treated at the soil, not with a tent. When tenting is the right call.
What is a WDO inspection and when do I need one?
It is a wood-destroying organism inspection, usually requested by the lender or buyer when a Florida home is being sold. The inspector reports any visible termite activity, damage or wood rot on the state form. More on WDO reports.
How much does termite treatment cost?
It depends on the type of termite, the size of the home and how far the activity has spread. As a rough guide for a St. Pete home, a localized drywood treatment runs about $250–$900, a liquid barrier for subterranean termites about $1,200–$2,500, and a full tent fumigation about $2,000–$7,000. These figures are estimates; you get a written price after the inspection, before any work is scheduled. See the price guide.
How often should a home be treated for pests?
Most St. Pete homes do well on a quarterly plan, because the warm, humid weather keeps insects active all year. One-time treatments are available for a single problem.
A local St. Pete termite and pest control company
We are based in St. Petersburg and work on St. Petersburg homes. That means we know the block construction, the old pine framing, the crawl spaces and the pests that come with living this close to the water.
The business has held a Florida pest control license since 1996 and is still led by the man who started it. He is the certified operator on the license, and his family works in the business with him. Before going out on his own, he spent ten years overseeing pest service in St. Pete, Clearwater and Tampa for another company.
